The SMILEBOX makes teeth shine

Heidelberg, May 12, 2020 – Young Innovations and NSK present SMILEBOX, a complete set for professional tooth cleaning. The products perfectly match and complement each other. Each box contains a prophy contra-angle handpiece, prophy cups, prophy paste, disclosing solution and parotid patches.

2Tone Solution reveals plaque with an advanced multicolor formula. It turns new plaque red and older blue, showing patients the areas they consistently miss while brushing the teeth. This not only serves to monitor patients, it also enables individual recommendations for the dental hygiene at home.

The DryTips® parotid patches are placed on the inside of the cheek directly in front of the largest salivary gland. The cellulose pads keep the work area dry during treatment, are far more absorbent than cotton rolls, but take up less space. They therefore particularly facilitate procedures in the back of the oral cavity.

The Young Elite Cup is a perfect match for the NSK stainless steel contra angle handpiece FX57m. The short polishing cup in combination with the ultra-small head enables easy access to all quadrants. The screw-type cup adapts neatly to the contra angle, while the soft rubber adapts completely to the tooth surface. While the internal ridges remove plaque, the external ridges support interproximal cleaning and reduce splatter.

The Young mint polishing paste with baking soda ensures the brilliant shine. It is free of fluoride and gluten and packed in hygienic single-unit doses. Its adhesive consistency reduces splatter, the non-abrasive baking soda removes discoloration and in one single step also achieves amazing luster. Heidelberg, October 31, 2019 – Every dental treatment places high demands on the dentist, team and equipment. Microbrush® premium applicators rise to the challenge: Their flexible handles remain in the desired position without springing back, while non-absorbent fibres facilitate the economical use and precise placement of material. New in the range is the size “ultrafine” with a 0.5 mm slim head.

The award-winning Microbrush® applicator is the first choice for hard-to-reach areas in the mouth. It‘s rigid brush is designed for the application of cement, caustics, binding agents, sealants and haemostatic solution. The useful tool is available in regular, fine, superfine, ultrafine and various colours to implement multi-stage procedures.

The TRU applicator is suitable for calcium hydroxide paste, sealant, disclosing solution, as well as binding agents and caustics. The tip can be bent twice, while the twelve-centimeter handle ensures maximum control and optimal access to any area.

Sophisticated Design

Heidelberg, June 27, 2019 – American Eagle introduces Quik-Tip™, a collection of environmentally friendly prophylaxis instruments. The product line combines specially designed handles with exchangeable tips. When these become unusable, only they are replaced instead of the entire instrument. The sustainable concept saves resources, reduces waste and minimizes costs.

The handles are available in three versions and seven colours, therefore many individual models can be created. This also simplifies the identification by user, treatment room or area of application. Quik-Tips are obtainable for scalers, curettes and Gracey curettes, either in Talon Tough stainless steel or in sharpen-free American Eagle XP® technology. The XP® alloy makes the working ends extremely hard and resistant. They keep their sharp cutting edges and are always ready to use. Especially comfortable is the Pro Thin variant with extra-fine tips. They ensure a remarkably gentle treatment and optimum access to deep periodontal pockets.

The Quik-Tip™ cone sockets offer quick installation with the accompanying wrench. Complete instruments can easily be sterilised in the thermal disinfector. Further information at www.am-eagle.de/en

Zooby® makes children smile

Heidelberg, May 28, 2019 – Seeing the dentist can be stressful for children. Zooby® has developed a range of products that help young patients to feel more comfortable in the practice. Pediatric bibs with colourful animal motifs are the latest addition to the product line.

They create a cheerful atmosphere and children can use them to dress up as a zebra, penguin, tiger, leopard, or flamingo. This reduces fear, promotes cooperation, and distracts them from technology, strangers, and unfamiliar noises and odours. Positively tuned, they can be optimally cared for, and the practice remains in good memory. The non-permeable disposable bibs are available in packs of a hundred each.

The Zooby® collection was developed specifically for young patients, as individual prophylaxis should start with the deciduous teeth to avoid cavities. The eruption of secondary teeth brings new challenges, such as incomplete enamel maturation, the unfavourable position of occlusal surfaces, the formation of retention niches, and thus a tendency towards plaque accumulation. Therefore, the Zooby® portfolio also includes items for professional teeth cleaning, such as contra-angles, pastes, and disclosing tablets. More information at www.youngdental.de

Save time, increase efficiency

Heidelberg, February 7, 2019 – At the IDS, the dental group Young Innovations will present its extensive product range with the brands American Eagle, Young, Microbrush®, DryTips® and Zooby®.

American Eagle Instruments will focus on the XP® collection. The innovative periodontal instruments retain their shape and functionality throughout their entire service life and do not require sharpening – this saves valuable time and reduces the risk of injury. The extra-thin work ends also facilitate access to interdental spaces and periodontal pockets, making therapy particularly gentle. With the constantly sharp blades, calculus is no longer abrasively chipped away but gently shaved off, enabling the practitioner to reduce the force required and therefore retain the tactile sensitivity. The XP® series is always ready to use, very durable and therefore cost-effective.

The new Galaxy instrument cassettes simplify the thorough cleaning and effective sterilization of hand instruments. They are available in three ISO Norm sizes, are equipped with food-safe silicone rails and are made of corrosion resistant stainless steel. The unique design guarantees the stability and strength of the case while protecting the high quality equipment. A laser-cut pattern optimizes water flow and increases efficiency in the RDG/thermal disinfector, rounded edges and slotted corners reduce drying time. The lock is operated with just one hand, the color-coded silicone rails can be placed variably and are compatible with all common handle diameters.

Visitors will also see the prophylaxis portfolio of Young and Zooby® as well as the parotid patch DryTips® and new, ultra-fine applicators from Microbrush®.

Get out of the Stone Age

Heidelberg, January 30, 2019 – Periodontal instruments require regular manual or mechanical regrinding. This shortens their shelf life because they lose not only substance but also their original shape. Studies have shown that sharpening rarely maintains the factory-set angles, often reduces the functionality of the instruments or even makes them completely useless.

The ineffective, time-consuming and injurious procedure becomes superfluous with American Eagle’s XP® technology. A special alloy makes the working ends of scalers and curettes extremely hard and resistant, so they retain their high quality cutting edges and are always ready for use. Sharpening stones are history, time can be used more productively, and the practioner no longer tires prematurely from the strenuous use of blunted blades.

The periodontal therapy becomes also relaxed and stress-free for the patients, because calculus is no longer abrasively chipped away, but gently removed without effort. XP® instruments from American Eagle are also cost-effective because they outlast any standard product when used properly. For more information, visit http://www.am-eagle.de/en/xp-technology/

Always sharp: XP® instruments from American Eagle

Heidelberg, September 12, 2018 – In periodontology, fine, sharp instruments are essential, therefore scalers and curettes have to be constantly sharpened. Now the American Eagle patented XP® technology makes instrument tips much more durable and time-consuming sharpening is a thing of the past.

The alloys are applied to a stainless-steel base during the nano-optimised surface treatment. This results in an extremely hard instrument tip, while at the same time the process enables manufacturing thinner blades. Dr. Phillip Watson from the University of Toronto has been able to prove that XP® instruments are significantly more durable and resistant than standard products and therefore are an enormous improvement.

Moreover, the slim design means easier access to interdental spaces and periodontal pockets, therefore better results can be achieved while the patient’s comfort level is increased. Thanks to the razor-sharp blades, the practitioner can reduce force and thus retains the tactile sensitivity.

In the American Eagle product range XP® technology is available for universal scalers, curettes and Gracey curettes. The instruments are available in the standard design with a stainless-steel handle or with an ergonomic EagleLite® handle that significantly reduces hand fatigue. Even more comfortable are the ultra-lightweight Pro Thin™ handles with extra fine working ends for a particularly gentle therapy.

Alternatively, the user can also select a Quik-Tip™ handle in the colour of his choice and chose an XP® instrument tip which is then solidly screwed into the handle using a specially designed wrench. This is environmentally friendly and saves costs, because not the entire instrument has to be replaced.
